Fiat’s Supermini continues to be a big rival to it’s competitors.
The Fiat 500 has been around for a couple of years now, yet still manages to maintain a good customer base that continues to expand. With the introduction of the TwinAir models last year, the emissions of the 500 were reduced further, making it not only a compact city car, but also a cost-effective choice for consumers and fleet managers alike. The 500 has won yet more awards to start 2012, in an ever expanding Supermini/City car market segment fending off competition to win the category in 2 separate awards ceremonies.
With the introduction of more competitors models this year, most notably the Volkswagen UP! Re-vamped Kia models and the SEAT Mii, there will be even more choice for consumers when it comes to this market segment than ever before. In addition to dominating the Supermini market, the 500 is set to be released in an MPV guise in late 2012 or early 2013, with an as yet unconfirmed name, this larger version of the 500 has been drafted in to replace the Multipla model.
