Business Users Place 1 Series at the Top of the Class

The results of a Business Car annual award have been released and the BMW 1 Series has been named as “2012 Business Car of the Year”.
The result is a very impressive accolade to receive as the awards are voted for by online and offline business car users and operators.
Larger BMW’s have long been associated with the company car market, but it’s now the “little brother” of the range showing it’s potential. From a driving perspective, the BMW badge is on the bonnet so there is immediately a degree of desirability and given it’s heritage, you know it’s going to perform to your requirements.
From a business owner/fleet manager perspective the vehicle is more cost-effective than the larger BMW’s such as the 3, 5 & 7 Series in the range, especially when you consider the Diesel ES model produces just 117g/km CO2 and on combined mileage is capable of reaching 62.8 Miles Per Gallon
Does this award come as a shock or is it inevitable that companies and fleets are seeking the smaller vehicles with fewer emissions for the future?
